High-Quality Stainless Steel Flanges – ASME B16.5 & B16.47 Manufacturer
Your Trusted Source for Stainless Steel Flanges

As a premier stainless steel flange manufacturer, S&S Stainless International provides a complete selection of flanges engineered for durability, corrosion resistance, and high performance in demanding industrial environments. We adhere strictly to international standards, including ASME B16.5 and ASME B16.47, ensuring that every flange meets the highest quality and safety specifications.
Whether you need flanges for high-pressure systems, corrosive pipelines, or general piping applications, our extensive inventory covers a wide range of sizes, pressure classes, material grades, and flange facing types to suit your specific project requirements.
Our Range of Stainless Steel Flanges
Weld Neck Flange
Stainless steel weld neck flanges are designed for high-pressure, high-temperature, and sub-zero applications. Their tapered hub provides a smooth transition from the flange to the pipe, reducing stress concentration. Ideal for critical process piping.
Slip-On Flange
Stainless steel slip-on flanges are a cost-effective, easy-to-install solution for lower-pressure applications. They simply slide over the pipe before being welded, offering convenience without compromising seal integrity.
Blind Flange
Stainless steel blind flanges seal off the end of a piping system or block a nozzle opening on a pressure vessel. They are crucial for isolating sections of pipe for maintenance or future expansion.
Threaded Flange
Also known as screwed flanges, stainless steel threaded flanges are used in non-welded applications where welding is impractical or undesirable. They feature a threaded bore that matches the pipe thread, allowing for quick assembly.
Socket Weld Flange
Stainless steel socket weld flanges are commonly used for small pipe sizes and high-pressure systems. The pipe is inserted into a socket, and a fillet weld is applied around the hub, providing excellent strength and leak prevention.
Lap Joint Flange
Stainless steel lap joint flanges are paired with stub ends and are ideal for applications requiring frequent dismantling for inspection or maintenance. They allow for easy alignment of bolt holes, reducing installation time and stress on the piping system.
Flange Facing Types: Ensuring Optimal Sealing
The choice of flange facing type is critical for achieving a leak-tight seal in any piping system. It dictates the gasket type and the overall integrity of the connection. At S&S Stainless International, we manufacture and supply stainless steel flanges with a variety of facing types to meet diverse operational demands:

- Raised Face (RF) Flange
- The Raised Face flange is the most common type, featuring a raised gasket surface above the bolting circle. This concentrates the bolting force on a smaller gasket area, providing a stronger seal. RF flanges are suitable for various pressures and temperatures and are typically used with non-metallic flat gaskets or spiral wound gaskets.
- Flat Face (FF) Flange
- Flat-face flanges have a gasket surface in the same plane as the bolting circle face. They are primarily used when connecting to cast iron valves, fittings, and pumps that are easily damaged by the bending stresses generated by a Raised-Face flange. FF flanges typically use full-face gaskets.
- Ring Type Joint (RTJ) Flange
- Ring-type joint flanges are designed for high-pressure, high-temperature, and highly corrosive applications. They feature a precisely machined groove into which a metallic ring gasket (often oval or octagonal in cross-section) is fitted. The metal-to-metal contact between the ring gasket and the grooves provides an extremely strong and reliable seal.
- Male and Female (M&F) Flange
- The Male and Female flange facing involves one flange having a “male” (raised) section and the mating flange having a corresponding “female” (recessed) section. This configuration helps to accurately align the flanges and provides a larger contact area for the gasket, preventing blowout.
- Tongue and Groove (T&G) Flange
- Similar to M&F, Tongue and Groove flanges also have a male-female type of fit, but the contact surfaces are smaller. One flange has a raised “tongue”, and the other has a matching “groove.” This design provides excellent gasket retention and is often used for specific gasket materials or applications where gasket blowout is a concern.
By offering various flange facing types, we ensure compatibility with diverse piping components and provide solutions optimized for different operational pressures, temperatures, and media.
Adhering to Global Standards: ASME B16.5 & ASME B16.47
As a dedicated stainless steel flange manufacturer, we ensure that our products meet the stringent requirements of industry standards. Our manufacturing processes and quality control systems are compliant with:
- ASME B16.5 Flanges: This standard covers pipe flanges and flanged fittings from NPS 1/2 through NPS 24 for various pressure classes. It dictates dimensions, tolerances, marking, materials, pressure-temperature ratings, and testing.
- ASME B16.47 Flanges: This standard covers large diameter steel pipe flanges from NPS 26 through NPS 60. It includes two series of flanges: Series A (MSS SP-44) and Series B (API 605), both addressing pressure-temperature ratings, dimensions, materials, and bolting requirements.
Our commitment to these standards guarantees that you receive flanges of consistent quality, precise dimensions, and reliable performance.
