Selection depends on line orientation and fluid dynamics:

  • Concentric Reducers: Feature a symmetrical, cone-shaped design with aligned centerlines. Use them in vertical piping systems to ensure smooth, uniform flow transitions.

  • Eccentric Reducers: Feature a flat side on one edge to maintain a single offset level. Use them in horizontal pump suction lines (flat side up) to eliminate air pockets and cavitation, or in horizontal liquid lines (flat side down) to facilitate complete drainage and prevent sediment buildup.
